About Elizabeth Scott Brown

Elizabeth Scott Brown found immense joy in contributing to the educational, spiritual, social, and personal growth of children and young adults. On a daily basis, Elizabeth personified the call to action "each one teach one." Indeed, Elizabeth spent almost twenty years in classrooms where she made an immeasurable and indescribable difference in the lives of so many students and their families. A humble, powerful, and obedient steward of her many talents, Elizabeth also took great pride in her position as a civic leader. While it is painful to recall the tragic circumstances of her death, it is not surprising to know that Elizabeth Scott Brown's life ended while she was on her way to pour into the lives of others. That is the reason why it is of the utmost importance to Elizabeth's family that the wonderful works of her life continue to bear fruit for students and the community for many years to come. Indeed, the establishment of the Elizabeth Scott Brown Scholars in Service Foundation, Inc. is a testament to and fulfillment of a legacy for a phenomenal and amazing woman that we lost entirely too soon.
